have you ever had a super crappy song STUCK in your HEAD?

I already posted my squeeage post on LJ, so I got you a nice fluffy link instead!

And, apparently the strike isn't quite over yet. Yet, people. But it could be very soon.

is it over yet?

So, according to THIS, the writer's strike is over. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but this guy seems pretty sure. I'm hoping. That's all. Have a nice day!

i feel so accomplished right now

So, do you know what time it is? It's Blogathon time again! I'm especially excited about it this year because this is the second year that I'm using this blog. Yeah, I'm lame. But I have this Restless Lisa Syndrome thing, where I can't stay with one blog (one of anything for that matter) for more than a week. I have at least seven LiveJournal accounts that I know of. And I'm not exaggerating. There might even be more that I don't remember. Yet, here I am, still at this one. I stuck to it for a year. Okay, so lately I've been slacking, but I'm still here.

This is actually the third year I've participated in the Blogathon. The first two years I was blogging for the International Fund for Animal Welfare. This year I'm blogging for The Humane Society of the United States. What can I say, animals are my thing. This year I'm hoping to get more than $15 in pledges. Not a huge goal, but I got $15 last year, and I was hoping to get more pledges this year. That's where you, my one or two loyal readers, and you, the person who stumbled across this blog while searching for music downloads (which reminds me that I should really consider changing my tags), come in. *hinthintnudge* All you have to do is go to www.blogathon.org and make an account, then go to http://www.blogathon.org/pledge.php?blogid=168.

Any questions or stuff like that? Feel free to ask away. Suggestions for a theme, I'm all ears. This year I'm not taking the time to upload a million songs, so I don't have any idea what I'll be blogging about all day. So, if you have any suggestions, I would love you forever. I'm also thinking about doing a contest of some sort. But I'm still quite clueless about that, too. So just send me your suggestions or else I'll be forced to write about how I just finished the last of the Chips Ahoys and how much I miss my bed. And that's just boring.

that thing called a life is showing its face again

Yes, I've been quite the contender for worst slacker in blogging history. Finals are coming up. I have a response essay to write and a story to revise before class tomorrow. It is 1:24 and I have yet to start either. I had to read The Moon Is Down in one sitting last night, then write a paper on symbolism and moral values. And finish my Evolution powerpoint. There's a method to my madness. I know it. And when I figure it out, you'll be the first to know. Anyway, the real reason I'm making this post other than my overworked brain and my bad time management is to say I'm going to put this thing on temporary hold until I finish up the semester. Call it a hiatus, if you will. I personally hate the term, it sounds so official, but that's what it is. So, to the two people who actually read this, I'll be back around May ninthish.

I leave you with this final thought: Snarry. *shudder* *look around stealthily* *take another peak* *shudder* *contemplate why i have no life*

out with the old, in with the green and black

Unless you're completely blind, which I can't really figure out why you are here if you are, you've noticed that the layout is messed up. That's because I'm attempting to change the template. And I have no clue what I'm doing. I'm just playing with it right now, trying to figure things out through trial and error. And trying not to screw things up too bad. So, just bear with me while I figure it out.

change is good

Hey. I've been majorly neglecting this thing. I've just been super busy with everything. But I'm definitely coming back.

Part of the reason I've been gone so long is because of my total lack of inspiration. I've listened to loads of CDs lately that I'm dying to share with you. But every time I get around to typing up a post, pft. Nothing. It was getting discouraging, and I was thinking about deleting the whole blog for a while there. But I've decided to keep updating, and stick with a more general topic.

What's the topic, you ask? Whatever! I've had lots of ideas for stuff to do posts on, just not musical stuff. So from now on, it's just whatever's on my mind at the time.

Blogathon 2006

I started this thing up sometime last year, but I never got around to actually updating it. So here I am. Woo.

I was talking to Christina the other day, one of the only people who actually reads my GJ, and she was complaining about how many music related posts I have. So, I decided to start a whole new one for just that. And since I've never used this one yet, I figured this was the best one to use.

Now onto the whole Blogathon thing. I'm going to be doing it for the second time this year. Only instead of boring people with "Okay everybody, I'm doing this now" like last year, I'm making it themed. Music themed. Originaly I wanted to blog for Rock Against Cancer, but I don't think I can use that one because there's no online donations. So, I'm just going to be doing IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare). But I'm still sticking with the music theme throughout the day.

The blogathon starts on July 29, so I'll be here all day. You should be to.
