So, this will officially be my last Rockstar: Supernova post, I guess. I'll still be keeping tabs on the band, though. And I have every intention of buying their CD when it comes out. I seriously can't wait to hear what they have for us.
The only thing that really bums me out about them is that supergroups usually don't live up to the hype. Take Audioslave or Velvet Revolver for example. Both kickass bands. And they're both still around, and relatively popular, compared to some other bands in their genre. But remember when they first came out, it was like they were the only things in the music world. Magazine covers, TV coverage, you name it. They were huge. But after the initial excitement of these huge names getting together, it dies down fast.
On a side note, remember this post? Needless to say, I'm thrilled. You can love a bands music, but if you can't stand the vocalist, it's hard to really enjoy it. If someone like Jill had won, I wouldn't be able to listen to them. I love Lukas' voice. He is awesome, as previously stated.
And since this is probably going to be the last Rockstar post, I have a little poll that I'd really appreciate everyone taking:

I missed the Rockstar: Supernova elimination show yesterday. Okay, I'm still breathing. I think. But I'm pissed. I had to get some details from my mom, and she really sucks at giving details. It went something like:
Mom: I think Delena's attitude got her in trouble.
Me: What did she do?
Mom: And Patrice got kicked off.
Me: But what did Delena do?
Mom: Dave Navaro asked her where the attitude came from. And Tommy said she needs a tough skin to deal with the crap they have to deal with.
So what the hell did Delena do??! I have yet to find out what she did. If anybody saw the show, I would love you forever if you could give me some details.
I really hated the originals. Not in that oh my god they fucking sucked sort of way. But that they were awesome and I'll never get to hear them again so I'd be better off never hearing them at all sort of way. Ryan's was just the greatest. Well, not greatest, but it was rad. And even Patrice's was really good.

Well, Jill is finally gone. And I'm trying to figure out how to celebrate this joyous occasion. She annoyed me. Any time someone said anything she didn't like she had to argue. I mean, okay, she's trying to be a rockstar, that's the way they are. But for some reason nobody else bugged me as much as her. Her attitude wouldn't be so bad if she could sing. Her voice sounds like two cats fighting over the last can of tuna on earth. She doesn't sing. She yells. Not screams, which would have been a HUGE improvement over whatever it was that she does.
I feel bad for the guy. But it had to happen. Even he admitted that rock isn't his thing. He reminds me of one of those coffee shop indie boys. I can see him sitting on a stool on stage, wearing sunglasses and bobbing his head while he's playing his guitar.

I hate reality TV. I avoid it like the plague. It's just an excuse for people to watch other people suffering for a chance to win money. Besides, it's more of an imitation of reality. Spring break in Wonderland would be more realistic than some of the "reality" shows they have on these days.
And yet, I somehow found myself completely hooked into this Rockstar: Supernova. Right now I'm doing that thing where I try to explain that it's different from the other shows, and everyone totally agrees with me, but they know just as well as I do that I'm trying to cinvince myself too.
I have to ask myself: What am I defending? I mean, okay. I denounce reality TV every chance I get. Rockstar is a reality show. But I love rock. I get to hear some awesome music. They keep the drama from the house minimal. And it has David Navarro. If there was no other reason to watch it, he would still be enough to justify it. I think I could have justified watching Til Death Us Do Part with that excuse. Luckilly for me, I have some dignity. I figure I can drop it for two hours a week to watch Rockstar.
Still, I feel like one of those American Idol teenies sometimes. You know those people who sit there and whine when their favorite person gets kicked off? Like it's life or death or something. "Oh my God! Like, call a paramedic! I'm going to die! Not Chris! He can't get kicked off!!!!!" For the record, Lucas is my favorite. He's going to win because he rocks, and I said so. *snarl* If he gets kicked off and I whine like a teenie, I give you permission, no, I beg you, hunt me down and beat some sense into my head with something hard, heavy, and razor blade encrusted.
My only major complaint about him was his preformance tonight. It was great, I liked it. But not quite satisfying. I was sitting there watching, expecting him to suddenly spring into action. Alas. He just kept walking around. I seriously wanted to see him rock out.
