So, here's the deal with the Day of Blogs: I have no clue. I've been frantically running around going to the hospital, filling out financial aid papers for school, cleaning my room TRYING to find stuff that just happens to dissapear when I need it. Then at about noon today, I realized what day it is. So, I'm going to see if it's too late to sign up for shift B, which, once again, I have NO CLUE when it starts. When the hell is 2100? If I can't still join the official thing, I'll probably do it anyway, or maybe on my Livejournal. Who knows. But I'm making a 9 PM post just in case. *crosses fingers* Wish me luck or something.

So, Day of Blogs. Hmm... I don't like the name. Oh well. The real reason for this post isn't to complain about the name, but to give a bit of an update. Apparently everyone will be keeping track of their own pledges. That's OK with me. I'm just a little bit lazy in th whole organization area. But as far as I can see, it's as simple as collecting everyone's e-mails and sending the donation link when everything is done.

Which brings me to my charity for this year. I've decided this year it will be To Write Love On Her Arms. While I'm not exactly fond of the religious connotations that seem to be pushing, I can overlook it since the charity itself is a good cause. The best way to sum up the purpose of this charity, I think, is taken from the FAQ on the official website:

Q.What is To Write Love on Her Arms?

A. TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.

Now, here's where all the lovely people reading this blog come in. The only way to make this Day of Blogs work is if people are willing to donate. Every dollar counts, and it's a single donation for the whole day, not by the hour. Since we're tracking our own pledges this year, you can just send me an e-mail at mercurysunshine@gmail.com or post a comment on this post with your name and how much you'll be donating. Then when Day of Blogs is over, I'll send you a link to the donate page.
