Sooooooo... I'm going home this weekend, in exchange for bringing a bunch of my stuff home so I won't have so much after finals. And I realized I had to tell my dad about the minor (coughHUGEhack) adjustment in the hair department. Yeah... So I was expecting the whole "oh my god, do you know how many women would give their right arm for natural red hair" rant. I'm all

Me: Yeah, by the way, I wanted to warn you that my hair is black. Actually it's more of a bluish black color...
Him: Oh god. (long pause) Have you ever thought that's why you're sick?
Me: Well, actually, it did start the day after I dyed it.

My roommate was sitting over there snickering the whole time. Yeah. So apparently he wasn't pleased in the least, but it wasn't an hour long rant on the evils of hair dye. And by the way, I don't think the dye made me sick. It's a coincidence. Those things happen.

I just watched the raws for episode three of Vampire Knight. Because no, I really can't wait for subs. And I love Zero even more. He's all evil for a few seconds and... yeah, I love him. You could possibly blame the love on the fact that Miyano Mamoru is doing his voice, but ha! I totally beat you on this one! I loved Zero before I even KNEW there would be an anime. My conclusion: Zero is simply destined to die. If any character, any character at all, is going to die, it'll be my favorite. And someone has already died. Really unimportant vampires that were just a plot device, but still. So yeah, someone has died, Zero is on the list. And if he dies in the manga, don't you DARE tell me, because I haven't read that far yet.

I wasn't all that fond of this episode, though. It has me wondering where exactly the series is going. Is it going to just branch off from the manga here or something? This is why I'm always a little worried when I start watching an anime after reading the manga. If it's not exactly like the manga I go into this fit where I feel the need to point out all the stuff they absolutely NEEDED to put in there.

Oh, and orange juice is my god.

So, I have some mystery illness. Everyone has their ideas what it is. Cassie thinks that it's either my thyroid acting up or I'm anemic. Whatever that means. My dad thinks it's my thyroid, because according to him, once you start medicating something, it decides it has help so it doesn't need to work as hard. (I kind of want to write a comic about this. Mr. Thyroid going all orgasmic over some Synthroid.) And Bridget thinks I have mono, because I feel exactly how she did when she had it.

I don't think it's my thyroid, first off. Because I already had this issue last summer, and while I'm perfectly aware that it can and probably will get worse, it doesn't feel the same. It's a hundred times worse in the 'let me go to sleep or die a terribly slow, painful death' area. Also, I'm not hungry at all. Yesterday I had half a vanilla pudding cup. After that I went to sleep and didn't eat again until I had the other half today. I didn't lose my appetite until after I started taking the medicine. And while I'm pretty sure this isn't my problem, I'm really hoping it is. Then I can get some stronger pills (holy crap, I sound like a junkie now...) and be better in a few days. Hopefully before finals.

I don't think it's mono either, because there's no way in hell I could catch it. I don't eat or drink after people. It's gross and completely unsanitary. And I sure as hell don't go around making out with random people. I don't make out with anyone, actually. And if I have mono, all I can do is sleep and wait for gods only know how long until it decides to go away. And I don't have that time because I have papers to write and finals to take and classes to go to and work to do.

Remember back in this post, I was all exited that Vampire Knight was being turned into an anime? And I was all worried that I would never get to watch it because my lack of understanding of the Japanese language? Well guess what?! There are already English subs on Youtube!

Tim Burton was an animation designer for Family Dog, an episode of Amazing Stories. It's a little bit retarded, but it's cute... ish. I find it amusing that Tim Burton was involved in the only animated episode ever aired.
